What we plan on doing

The IEEE Student Branch at Kathmandu University focuses on advancing technical excellence and fostering professional growth through structured academic and industry initiatives. Our core objectives include:

  • Foster technical and professional development through workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects
  • Promote and grow IEEE student membership and submit the Student Branch Annual Plan
  • Organize a minimum of four activities per year and report them via IEEE vTools
  • Facilitate student participation in IEEE competitions, conferences, and publications
  • Collaborate with the IEEE Nepal Section, neighboring Student Branches, and industry partners
  • Conduct community outreach, STEM promotion programs, and contribute to sustainable development

  • Inaugural Kickoff Meeting and a campus-wide IEEE Membership Drive.
  • Hands-on technical workshops covering embedded systems, PCB design, programming, and emerging tech.
  • Guest lecture series featuring industry professionals alongside interdisciplinary hackathons and project competitions.
  • Industry site visits and direct collaboration initiatives with active IEEE Nepal Section events.
